We want to improve nursing education globally

Our next project will be in Sierra Leone. Nursing’s Edge will partner with Friends of Nixon (a British NGO) and Eastern Technical University, Kenema, Sierra Leone, to address improving nursing education at Nixon Hospital, Kailahun district, Sierra Leone. More information will be provided after we begin the partnership in October 2025.
Nursing’s Edge still hopes to continue its work in the DRC; however, safety has become an issue in the area, and we continue to monitor the situation for a safe time to provide the WHO’s Basic Emergency Care course in South Kivu, DRC.
Who We Are
We are nurses from the United States who have recognized the need to focus on nursing care globally. After years of working for other NGOs focusing on improving medical care, we have witnessed that this does not improve patient care. Nurses are critical to changing patient outcomes. Because of this, we are committed to training locals to enhance nursing care globally.
